Joia turned 4 months on September 13th. She has changed so much over the months. I’m still in awe watching her ever little move and every little thing that changes about her. Her little personality continues to grow.
Growth
She now weighs 14lbs and her height is 25″. She is above average in height and weight. The doctor said she is perfect! She is wearing size 2 pampers. She can still fit some 0-3 month and 3 month old clothes depending on the brand. She is mostly in 3-6 month clothes now.
Feeding
She is now drinking 5-6 oz of Similac Advance/Parent Choice. She gets distracted easily when feeding. She is so nosey, hehe! If she hears a noise or if someone is talking or says something to her she will stop drinking and smile or laugh or just stare. She is something else. The doc said that we could start trying to feed her solids such as rice cereal and fruits and veggies. We tried the rice cereal first and she didn’t seem to like it too much. I guess she has to get used to this new texture being in her mouth and just learning how to eat from a spoon in general. I want to make her some baby food as well…hopefully I can try that soon.
Sleeping
She wakes up once at night for a bottle. She mostly still sleeps in her rock n play. We mainly just do naps in the crib. I still want her really close to me so I haven’t transitioned her all the way to the crib just yet. Maybe I will soon. I think I am more of the hold up with that than her. I read a story about a baby that passed away at 4 months all of a sudden and the baby was sleep in her crib as usual. That gave me a scare so I think I’ll wait until I think she’s stronger before letting her sleep through the night in the room alone in her crib.

My Postpartum Update
Yeah so about my workout routine….still nonexistent and I still have 3 pounds to lose to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. I still haven’t adjusted to this whole baby routine! I set the goal for myself to have my flat stomach back before the end of December, but I’m still slacking.
