Joia turned 10 months on March the 13th. I can’t believe that she will be ONE next month! I feel like I was just pregnant and ready to see her for the first time. It’s crazy how time goes by so fast…it makes me kind of sad! She continues to learn new things and continues to amaze me with how smart she is and how beautiful she is. Some times I will just sit and stare at her like WOW you’re a little me, but definitely not all the way in looks because 95% of the time it looks like her daddy spit her out and not me!

Growth
I’m not sure what her height is, but she is 21 pounds. She is wearing size 3 diapers. She is wearing 6-9 month clothes. She can also fit 12 month outfits now as well as some 18 month outfits. She is growing so fast!

Feeding
She is drinking about 8 oz of Similac Advance/Parent Choice throughout the day. She’s eating stage 3 foods. She still eats very well and isn’t picky. She will try ANYTHING. I hope she continues to be that way. She eats 3 meals a day. She is able to feed herself. She is still much more interested in eating food than she is in drinking her milk. She knows when she gets in her high chair it is time to “eat eat”. She is doing better with a sippy cup and holding it on her own. She also doesn’t have a problem drinking water. She holds her bottle on her own fine and she picks it up herself if she sees it and wants it.

Sleeping
She is doing much better sleeping in her own crib now. On the weekends, we have started to put her in her crib for naps at the same times she takes them at daycare. I think this seems to help her at night because she is used to being in her own crib for naps. She used to only stay in her crib for about 20 minutes tops, but she is doing so much better now. She has slept in her crib pretty much all night a couple of times and we are excited! Operation get out our bed is in full effect! She has her moments, but overall she is doing great.

Teething
Nope not ONE tooth yet. I feel like I can see two white spots on her gums at the bottom…but they are taking their precious time to push through. She is having more teething pain so maybe they will peek through any minute now. My mom actually said that I didn’t start getting my teeth until I was about 11 or 12 months. After doing some research, I found out that teething is hereditary so I guess she will get her teeth later like I did.
Speech
She is saying a good amount of words now. Here’s what she’s saying so far:
– Dada
– Mama
– Hey
– Clap, clap, clap
– No, no
– Night, night
– Get
– Baba
– Bye bye
– Uh oh
– Yay
– Papa
Playing
Joia loves to play. She is very curious about different things. She loves grabbing toys out of the toy bin and putting them wherever her little heart desires. She is very active and has no fear whatsoever so we definitely have to watch her at all times. She also loves to be outside. She really loves the swing and going on walks. She also loves to play with my phone or tablet. She loves to try and sing songs and dance to things that are on Baby First TV. She is still in love with all things Mickey and Minnie Mouse. That is going to be the theme of her first birthday party!

Same ol same ol. Everything is fine with me…I’m just being a slacker in the weight department. I have never been a dedicated fitness person, but I’m going to get my life together one of these days LOL I am drinking more water and eating less fast food so that’s a start! I’ve also stopped drinking sodas & I’m eating more fruits! PRAY FOR ME! Hehe. The hubs and I are supposed to start working out together.
