Pawsome Find: Hachi: A Dog’s Tale (Movie)

Sooo…I’m a little late on seeing this wonderful dog movie about Hachi, but I still wanted to share my thoughts on the movie.  Besides, some of you may have never had a chance to see it or have never heard of the movie and believe me, you dog lovers are going to want to curl up on the sofa with your pooch and check this out!

I’m all settled on the sofa mom.  C’mon, tell ’em more.  This movie is pawsome!

 

Why yes, this movie is awesome.  My fiance heard about the movie from his grandma and after all the great things she said about it we just knew that we had to check it out!  We pulled the movie up and grabbed a bowl of popcorn and started watching.  We were not disappointed.  It is a very touching movie and may even make you shed a tear or two!  I. Cried.  We really liked it and I would watch it again.

The movie is about a man that finds a dog and eventually decides to keep him.  He was trying to find the dog’s owner, but could not and besides how could you not fall in love with that puppy dog face and just take him in!?  He named him Hachiko (Hachi for short) and they began to have an awesome bond.  They have such a loving relationship and Hachi truly is this man’s best friend.  The dog totally loves his owner and you can see all the love from the dog and the owner.  Hachi will wait on his owner every single day at the train station to walk home with him.

SPOILER ALERT:  Well, one day Hachi’s owner passes away and of course Hachi doesn’t know this because how is a dog to understand that his best friend will no longer be around to be with him anymore?  Hachi still continues to wait for his owner every day at the train station, but of course his owner never returns.  That is so heartbreaking!  Hachi’s love for his owner never fades away.  He’s such a loyal dog.  Wow!  Guess what…this movie is based on a TRUE STORY which makes it touch you just that much more.  You can read about the true story here.

You should definitely check out this movie and if you have Netflix you’re in luck because it’s there!  As you can see, a lot of people like this movie as it is almost rated 5 stars!  This movie is a good story for all ages.
