Dear baby,
You are all set and ready to go! It seems like you may make an appearance sooner than expected. Nobody really knows when you’re going to get here, but there is a chance that you could come before May 23rd. The midwife doesn’t think I’ll make it to my due date which is in 4 more weeks and exactly 30 days from today. How exciting and terrifying is that? Yes, terrifying because I am a first time mom and I have no idea what to expect. Mommy hates pain, but she can’t wait to see your beautiful face. Your movement is very strong and it’s getting pretty hard for me to get comfortable and get some good sleep at night. Your daddy sleeps just fine. I’m jelly. I want to sleep like him! I’m sure you’ll interrupt his sleep when you get here though. Payback!
Since things are getting so real for me now…I need to pack our bags for our hospital stay! I think I’ll do that this weekend. I already know what you’re going to wear when we take you home and it’s so adorable! I also got you this cute personalized outfit from Etsy, but I don’t think it’s going to get here until after your arrival. I’m going to wash some of your clothes this weekend too. Daddy and I have been trying to get everything prepared for you. The house is pretty much spotless thanks to Daddy and your god father! They worked hard on organizing things and getting rid of some of your daddy’s clutter. We also have you a corner of our room set up since you’ll be sleeping in our room when you first get here. Later, you’ll sleep in your crib and share a room with your big sister.
Daddy only has one more week left of classes and he’ll be done. He graduates on May 7th…are you trying to make sure you’re at daddy’s graduation? That would be the perfect gift for him huh? Maybe you’ll get here on Mother’s Day…that would be a great gift too! You just keep growing and being healthy and come whenever you’re ready my love. We’re ready if you are.
