Dear baby,
Wow this week sure has been rough! My morning sickness has been at an all time high. Who came up with the name “morning” sickness anyway? Paaaah! How about anytime sickness? I think that fits much better. I have been feeling nauseous ALL day and night long. I have threw up multiple times on Monday and Tuesday and didn’t even go to work because nothing at all would stay in my system. I drank water and threw that up! Baby, you are giving me a real hard time this week that’s for sure. I ran out of the sample pills that my midwife gave me for nausea, but I had a prescription for it so I thought I’d be able to fill it before it ran out. Boy was I wrong. My insurance was not having it for some reason so I could never get the prescription filled over the previous weekend and my midwife wasn’t in the office Monday or Tuesday so I just had to struggle. I’d wake up from my sleep and have to barf while your daddy was just sleeping away. Most of the time he didn’t even notice I got up out of the bed to barf. I tried eating crackers and I threw that up…I tried several things and nothing was working. Your daddy was finally able to pick me up another bottle from my midwife Wednesday so that definitely helped! I only throw up if a smell isn’t appealing to me and I only get nauseous here and there instead of ALL DAY LONG! If I didn’t have this medicine I don’t know what I’d do. Morning sickness is actually a good thing in a weird way. It tells me that you’re okay in there and I have enough hormones in my body for the pregnancy. So I’ll deal with the all day sickness for you because you are definitely worth it my love!
I had a great weekend! I was able to go back to my hometown and see my family. They were very happy to see us. We were able to show them your first two ultrasound pictures in person. They are so excited! We also were able to record the announcement video and give them a little preview before your daddy finished editing it. They love the video. I can’t wait until your daddy is finished with the final product. He is so talented. I hope you get his skills and of course some of mine as well, but he can dabble in lots of things and do it well. That’s one of the things I love about him. I also was able to see my best friends’ newborn son. He is just the cutest ever. All he did was sleep most of the time that we were there as expected, but I still enjoyed seeing him and his mom. Seeing him made us even more excited for you! I can’t wait to see you on the ultrasound screen next week. I pray that you’re okay. I believe you are and I’m just paranoid as usual for a new mommy. The worrying, the sickness, the aching, and not feeling like myself is cool with me as long as you’re healthy and we all get to see you and love you in May 2015!
Love, Mommy
