I have been a dog lover ever since I was a little girl so of course, I loved watching cartoons that had cartoon dog characters! Cartoon dogs are the best right? They can do EVERYTHING that you can imagine. You might even wish that your own dog could do human things. Like how cool would it be if your dog could actually talk? Weird? Yeah, probably. What about helping you solve mysteries? Even weirder? Ok, fine. We will leave the dogs with human qualities in TV land.

Snoopy – Peanuts

Snoopy has to be my favorite cartoon dog ever.  Did you know that Snoopy was going to be Simba’s name instead?  We ended up liking Simba better, but Snoopy was close!  I enjoyed reading the Peanuts comic strip in the newspaper when I was a kid.  My mom would always clip the comic strip section just for me. I also enjoyed watching the cartoon on TV.  Snoopy was just so cool and human-like.  He seemed rather intelligent, had an awesome imagination, and just an all-around cool dog to have.  Snoopy is a happy dog and I just love his “happy dance”  even though the other characters seemed to be annoyed by it at times.  I think that makes it just that much funnier!  Who wouldn’t want to have a dog like Snoopy around? Scooby-Doo – Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?

The theme song alone was awesome right? Scooby-Doo is just so ridiculously silly and extremely scary…like how could you not love him?  Scoob was definitely apart of the gang.  He was there with them every step of the way when they solved their mysteries.  Scooby also had a huge appetite.  He had the munchies just like his owner Shaggy and was always down for some human food or Scooby snacks.  He also could TALK but in his unique doggy voice.  Hilarious! You can watch Scooby-Doo on Netflix.

Porkchop – Doug

Porkchop is a pretty outgoing dog.  He can’t talk, but you know what he’s thinking and he understands you.  Porkchop has many human things like a walkman and clothes.  He also knows how to join in on the fun and help you when you’re in need.  Porkchop walks like a human and can do many human-like things.  He’s pretty awesome, right? You can watch Doug on Hulu.

Goofy – Disney

Goofy’s name definitely fits him.  He’s goofy to the max and I think that’s what makes him one of my favorite cartoon dogs!  Goofy has the goofiest laugh you’ll ever hear which will make you laugh just at the sound of it.  He’s terribly clumsy and he isn’t the brightest, but he’s a very lovable dog! You can watch plenty of Goofy on Disney Plus.

Spike – Rugrats

Spike is a normal family dog for the most part.  He shows the relationship between a dog and kids.  It’s adorable to watch.  Spike is very protective over the rugrats and we see how much they mean to him and how much Spike means to the rugrats. You can watch the Rugrats cartoon series on Hulu and watch the Rugrats movies on Netflix.
