Do you take care of your dog’s teeth? It’s very important that you do. You wouldn’t want your dog to get periodontal disease or anything right? Of course not! Milk-Bone® recently released a new product that makes it quite easy to keep your dog’s teeth healthy and clean. They are transforming at home oral care for dogs with their new product called Milk-Bone Brushing Chews. Brushing your dog’s teeth can be a real pain if your dog doesn’t like to get his teeth brushed.
How does the Milk-Bone Brushing Chews help you with oral care for dogs? It helps in a number of ways which is why the product is so awesome! First of all, the dog chews have a 75 degree twist, along with nubs and ridges designed to clean down to the gum line like the bristles on a toothbrush, even reaching the hard to reach back teeth. So these chews might even get to places you weren’t getting to before.
By simply feeding your dog these chews daily it is clinically proven to be as effective as brushing your dog’s teeth twice per week, based on the reduction of tartar build-up and bad breath. Awesome right? I told you! Also you don’t have to worry about the Milk-Bone Brushing Chews not being a quality product because they have earned the trusted Veterinary Oral Health Council’s (VOHC) Seal of Acceptance, the pet industry’s equivalent of the American Dental Association (ADA), for retarding calculus accumulation!
Thankfully, Simba doesn’t really hate it when I brush his teeth. He does wiggle a bit sometimes, but usually he’s a good boy. Even though Simba isn’t much trouble when brushing his teeth, it is easier to just throw him a dog dental chew every now and then. It’s pretty cool that there is a dog chew that pretty much does the job for us when it comes to dog oral care.
Simba has tried Milk-Bone products before and he liked them a lot so I figured he’d like the dog chews as well. Simba couldn’t wait for me to open the box so he could try the brand new Milk-Bone product out. The box is quite fancy and I’m loving the velcro closure for the bag. The design of the bone is different and I like it along with all the details.
As you can see, Simba absolutely loves the doggie chews!
It took him a while to completely finish the dog chew so the chew really worked hard on those teeth and gums. We definitely recommend that you try a box for yourself! As of March 2014 Milk-Bone Brushing Chews are available everywhere Milk-Bone is sold and are only $4-$5 a box. The product comes in the sizes of mini, small/medium, and large.
Simba seemed to like the small/medium size because it was bigger…greedy! I think the mini size is just fine for him though. I will still be brushing Simba’s teeth as often as I can, but I will definitely be using the dog chews as well instead of brushing sometimes.

He loves em!
I bought these milk bone brushing chews and gave my little Chihuahua one of them and that day is was ok but the next two days he was sick. Throwing up and not holding his food down. The next day after that he seem to ok and the next day he eat is breakfast and started to throwing up again. I just want to know if any one else is having the same problem with these milk bones brushing chews. Thanks
No. I never had an issue with milk bone brushing chews with Simba. Maybe your Chihuahua has a more sensitive stomach than most. I think you should definitely check with your vet about the issue.
My Italian greyhound is crazy for brushing chews. I limit him 2 a day maybe 3.. He begs for them.
