This Fashion Friday we are going to do something a little different! This Fashion Friday is all about me instead of Simba or one of our doggie pals. I am going to share some of my maternity photos with you all. The dress I’m wearing I bought last year from Rue 21 and never wore it because I didn’t like the way it fit on me for some reason, but I thought it looked great on me with my baby bump! The dress is NOT a maternity dress and it is a size medium high low dress which is probably why I didn’t like the way it fit on me last year. I think it was on sale for like $10 so I bought it anyway. I’m glad I purchased it because it looks great in the maternity photos. I also purchased the head band, bracelets and I think even the sandals I’m wearing from Rue 21 as well. As you can see Rue 21 has some cute clothes and accessories! I get a lot of maxi dresses from there which I have loved wearing during my pregnancy. All of the maxi dresses that I bought from Rue 21 last year has come in handy while being pregnant because I haven’t had to purchase any. I can still fit all of them, it looks good on me, shows off the baby bump, and maxi dresses are so comfortable which is important during pregnancy of course!
I had the chance to take some lovely maternity photos on my birthday on April 13th. My husband loves capturing moments and has recently started taking photography very seriously. He decided to capture my baby bump on my birthday in the park. Thanks my love! I will always cherish these maternity photos! I’m a first time mom and so this is the first time I’ve had a baby growing inside my belly on my birthday. It’s amazing to have a life grow inside of you. It is definitely an experience like no other and I’m so happy and blessed that I get to experience motherhood. In these photos I am 34 weeks pregnant. I hope to take some more photos when I am further along…around 36-38 weeks. These photos will include my husband, the little one, and Simba!
I really want to take some maternity photos with Simba because I know they will turn out adorable! I included Simba in my engagement photos and my wedding photos as well and he did an awesome job. I’ve been looking at several ideas of maternity photos that include dogs on Pinterest and I can’t wait to try and capture some of those poses with Simba. All he needs is a couple of treats and he is all game! You can check out the Pinterest board below if you need some inspiration for your own maternity photo shoot.

I’m loving my pregnancy for the most part. There have definitely been some ups and downs, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I can’t wait to meet my baby girl! Only 4 weeks to go if she comes on time! My due date is May 23rd. I can’t wait! Time has been flying, but now it seems to be slowing down because I’m so excited to see her for the first time. The following pregnancy quote is exactly how I’m feeling.
Did you have a maternity photo shoot when you were pregnant? Did you include your dog? Share! We’d love to hear from you!
