Fall Bucket List
There are so many Fall activities to do with your dog! Dogs want to enjoy the Fall weather too. They love to be outside and Fall is the perfect time to enjoy the beautiful cooler weather. These Fall activities can be done with the whole family. Have fun!
Go on a Nature Walk
Go on a walk, but make it nature! My dog gets so excited to go for a walk. He knows it’s time when I grab his leash. As soon as I grab the leash, he runs to the door and waits impatiently for me to open it. Your dog will be so excited to go on a nature walk with you.
A park is a perfect place to enjoy a nature walk. See if your park has a walking trail that is dog-friendly of course. Let your dog enjoy the smells just a little bit longer than normal. Take in all of the beautiful colors. Enjoy watching the birds and squirrels. Have fun on your nature walk!
Go Camping or Hiking
If you and your dog love the great outdoors, take a hike or go camping! You can camp out right in your backyard or find a dog-friendly place to go camping. Dogs love adventures so I’m sure your dog would really enjoy this! Pack your dog camping gear or dog hiking gear and go on an adventure!
Take Fall Themed Photos
How many photos of your dog do you have on your phone? If your camera roll isn’t filled with lots of photos of your dog, are you even really a pet parent? Let’s add some more dog photos to that camera roll.
Take some dog Fall themed photos. Fall has the perfect scenery for some nice photos of your dog that you can post to your Instagram or add them to your family photo album. Follow us @DogMomPOV on Instagram to see our Fall themed dog photos! More coming soon.
Play in the Leaves
After you finishing raking all of those leaves up, how about you tell your dog to come and join you and jump in a pile of leaves! Playing in the leaves is a fun family activity that everyone can enjoy. It’s the simple things!
Watch Halloween Movies
Are you going to watch the 31 Nights of Halloween? It’s the perfect time to enjoy some classic Halloween movies with your dog! Don’t like scary movies? No worries…all Halloween movies aren’t scary. Try watching It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown for instance!
Visit a Dog-Friendly Pumpkin Patch
Take a walk through a dog-friendly pumpkin patch! Do a Google search for pumpkin patches in your area that are dog friendly. Maybe your dog can enjoy the corn maze or a hayride or two. Did you know that pumpkin is actually good for your dog to eat? Pick up some pumpkins to take home with you!
Carve Your Dog’s Face on a Pumpkin
Did you find that dog-friendly pumpkin patch and pick up some pumpkins? Carve your dog’s face on a pumpkin! Wouldn’t it be cool to have a dog pumpkin carving instead of a regular ol’ jack-o-lantern?
If you don’t think you can stencil out your own dog’s face, you can purchase pet pumpkin carving stencils! If carving isn’t your thing, get a pumpkin painting kit or dog face stickers and stick them on a small pumpkin. Boom! Done!
Bake Fall Inspired Dog Treats
Trick-or-treat, your dog wants some treats! Now you know your dog can’t have any of that tasty Halloween candy, no matter how many times he gives you those puppy dog eyes. However, you can bake some dog Halloween treats! You can try some peanut butter dog treats or how about some pumpkin muffins to get you in the Fall spirit.
If you like to try dog recipes, DogTV has a show called the Dog Chef that you should totally check out! He has peanut butter cookies and even those pumpkin muffins I mentioned!

For those Fall-themed dog photos, I mentioned you can have your dog dressed up in dog Halloween costumes or you can have your dog wear Fall dog clothes. Have your dog wear a dog sweater or some dog booties!
Get into it, but only if your dog doesn’t mind. We love Fitwarm dog clothes because they are super cute and high-quality dog clothes.
Cuddle Up and Enjoy the Weather
Last but not least, simply enjoy this Fall weather with your dog and cuddle up on the couch or on your porch or deck. Grab yourself a coffee or hot cocoa and grab your dog a puppicino from Starbucks. Yes, that’s a thing! Your dog can enjoy Starbucks with you. Have fun this Fall!
