Note: Do at your own risk. Please monitor your child at all times. We made sure to monitor our baby while she was in the Pack ‘N Play to make sure everything was okay. Make sure that the fitted sheet is flat and tight and that there are no gaps.

Does your baby hate being in the Pack ‘N Play? Ever wondered how to make a Pack ‘N Play more comfortable? We had the same exact problem. Joia (6 months old) absolutely hated being in it. She would only stay in it for about 5 minutes at a time and then be ready to get out of there! Her Pack ‘N Play mat is very thin and hard.
It’s not comfortable at all and I wouldn’t want to sleep on anything like that either. She usually slept in her Rock ‘N Play that is beside our bed, but she is getting way too long for that so we decided to transition her to the Pack ‘N Play which is also in our room.
We didn’t want to put her in the crib just yet overnight. She only sleeps in her crib for naps at the moment since it’s in the room with her sister. We still want to keep an eye on her at night and the Pack ‘N Play is the perfect way to do so for us, but how will we get her to sleep in it?
We tried putting her in it while she was asleep and she would wake up within minutes. There was no way that we could put her in there while she was awake. How can we make the Pack ‘N Play more comfortable? My husband had an idea that worked like a charm!

Joia thinks the Pack ‘N Play is quite comfy now and doesn’t mind being in it at all. We put it right beside our bed and she can see us and we can see her perfectly. She sleeps in it the entire night. This works great for US! Do whatever works for YOU. This is just an idea we had for ourselves and it works like a charm.
Joia is old enough to roll over all kinds of ways in her Pack ‘N Play. She has no issues holding her head up or moving around in a way that she can’t make herself comfortable. She sleeps great in it and loves it now. Whatever you do, be SAFE and do what’s best for you and your baby!

Wondering why you wouldn’t just use one solid piece? Why cut it into 4? I understand that the mat has sections, but don’t understand how it matters with the foam. Could you explain?
Kia says
It’s cut into 4 so it would be thicker. We didn’t want to fold it because if you fold it over the ends would be too thick.
