Keeping the house clean these days seems like a never-ending cycle right? With everyone being home more there are definitely way more messes and so much harder to keep the house clean. Pet parents know how messy it can get with having a dog and if you throw kids in the mix the mess becomes a hot mess for real! I’m glad that Art of Green makes cleaning up the little or big messes throughout the house easier and I have some cleaning tips that will help.
National Love Your Pet Day is February 20th which means it’s the perfect time to think about the cleaning products we use around our pets. I love my dog and he is family to me. I definitely want to make sure when I clean up after him and his messy paws that the products I’m using are safe for use around pets.
A Cleaning Product That’s Safe Around Pets!
As pet parents, we are constantly cleaning up after our pet from muddy paws, to potty accidents, to dirty dog toys. We love our pets and should want to make sure we are keeping them safe at all times even when we’re cleaning. That’s why I absolutely love that Art of Green is safe to use around kids and pets. What’s number one on my list of cleaning tips is that you should use Art of Green! Let me tell you all the reasons why.
Art of Green wipes and sprays are 98% naturally derived, safe for sensitive skin, and non-toxic which means it’s free of parabens, phthalates, glycol solvents, artificial color or phosphates.
It’s also tough on dirt, grease, and grime which makes it great for constantly cleaning up after a pet and even kids. It works on so many surfaces and it smells really good too! You have to choice of two scents to choose from which are Lavender Eucalyptus and Citrus and White Flowers.
What’s really good about this pet-friendly cleaning product is that it’s budget-friendly too! Buying green products and taking care of pets can be pricy, but Art of Green is priced just above mainstream cleaning products and below green products. As a dog mom, I’m thankful to save a few extra coins!
I know you’re careful about what you feed your pet and what you use on them so let’s also remember to use safe cleaning products around them as well.
Cleaning Tips for Pet Parents
No matter if you’re a new pet parent or an OG pet parent, pet messes are going to happen. It’s just part of having a pet. So here are some pet cleaning tips to make your life as a pet parent easier with Art of Green.
Pet Accidents on Hard Surfaces
My dog has potty accidents on my floor from time to time which is expected. Of course, it’s icky to clean up, but Art of Green wipes makes it super easy to get the mess up quickly. The wipes pick up messes and cut through the worst grime! Just grab a couple of wipes and wipe the mess from the hard surface and eliminate any bad odors.
Our pets walk on our floors all of the time. To keep those paws safe when you mop, just mix 2 ounces of Art of Green with a gallon of water and mop as usual.
Sanitize Dog Bowls and More
Speaking of grime, dog placemats can get yucky fast, but Art of Green wipes can get rid of the mess even quicker. The wipes get rid of the grime easily usually with just using one of the wipes which I think is amazing.
Don’t forget to clean those dog bowls often! Sometimes we can forget, but you wouldn’t use your bowl again without washing it right? Dog bowls should be cleaned every day. Also, you can sanitize the dog bowls in the dishwasher on the hottest setting once a week to get rid of bacteria.
You can also quickly wipe down your dog’s collar and leash with a handy dandy Art of Green wipe as well. I’m telling you these wipes really come in handy for a quick cleanup.
Cleaning a Dog Crate
Pet accidents can happen in the dog crate as well or it just needs to be cleaned every now and then. Simply spray crates with Art of Green from about 8 inches away. Let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe it all clean. I love that the scents linger and make the crate smell amazing for a while.
Spot-Check Pet Toys
Some dogs can be a little rough with toys and also get them pretty dirty. You should definitely spot-check dog toys every now and then to make sure there are no loose parts that can become a choking hazard. You also want to clean the toys often as well. To clean pet toys, spray with Art of Green (or just use an Art of Green cleaning wipe which is my fav), wipe clean with a rag, rinse with water and let dry.
Don’t put toys in the dishwasher unless the tag specifically states to: the hot water can cause loss of shape and structure making the toy fragile.
