I received a free copy of Wedding Dogs: A Celebration of Holy Muttrimony in exchange for a fair and honest review. I couldn’t wait to review this book because I love weddings and a dog being in a wedding is just absolutely adorable! It took me a while to actually sit down and read the book once I received it in the mail because I hardly ever have time to read anymore. I love to read and I would read quite often if I just had the time. I made myself sit down with Simba near by as usual and began reading and viewing the beautiful photographs.
About Wedding Dogs
“Wedding Dogs features fabulous photographs and stories of the special canines who joined in the celebration of their owners’ big day. Decked out in tiny tuxedos or collars of roses, the pooches portrayed in Wedding Dogs run the gamut from tiny Chihuahuas to fluffy Siberian huskies; all played an important role in their owners’ nuptials. Whether serving as maid of honor or best man, ring bearer or flower girl, or even acting as an honorary envelope licker—these dogs steal the show!”
My Thoughts on Wedding Dogs: A Celebration of Holy Muttrimony
The book is just as adorable as it sounds! I definitely enjoyed looking at all of the beautiful photographs of the dogs with the bride and groom. I could definitely see how much love the owners have for their dogs and how important it was for them to be apart of their big day. The dogs are part of the family and it’s such a beautiful thing to see. A lot of pretty pooches and dapper doggies of various breeds are in this book and some of them were Schnauzers which of course were my favorite! I have to represent for my Simby! I would love for Simba to be in my wedding whenever that special day comes. I think he would be the perfect gentleman!
There are 75 wedding stories in the book and they are all short and sweet. Some of the stories are pure comedy like the story about a Miniature Schnauzer named Pepper who was so happy to see her owners for the preceremony pictures that she left a trail of pee as she ran towards them! Some of the stories are cute like the story about T-bone the dachshund who started barking when everyone began clapping when they pronounced the bride and groom as husband and wife. She was happy for them too! There are stories where dogs totally stole the show and stories where….well I’ll let you pick up a copy yourself! I don’t want to give it all away.

Never been to a wedding and neither has mom. I could howl a tune for the ceremony for sure! Love those photos, though!
