Is your daddy your hero? Do your kids view their Dad as the best dad ever? My dad is amazing and my husband is an amazing father to his kids. It’s one of the many reasons I fell in love with him. His dad skills were on point and I just loved how our oldest daughter admired him so. I’m definitely a daddy’s girl. Always have been and always will be. I loved the bond we shared growing up and I still love it to this day. The bond between father and child is important and should be celebrated.

Our Thoughts on My Daddy Rules the World
This book is absolutely adorable and will make your heart melt! The poems are in a child’s voice so whatever is being said about Daddy is coming from the child. There are such sweet moments in the book that every child should be able to relate to. From daddy teaching how to ride a bike to daddy cooking breakfast. All are precious moments that mean a lot to a child and moments that they will remember for years to come. Some moments may seem small, but these are big moments to kids which they will keep locked in their heart about their daddy.
My daddy’s girls were smiling ear to ear when reading the poems about daddy. They could relate to so many of the poems and our 8-year-old could read the poems with ease. I love that the poems are short, sweet, and easy to read. Each poem flows nicely and feels just like how a child would talk about their daddy. The illustrations fit with the poems well and are beautifully done. Smith did a good job with representation. She made sure that every child could relate in some way with the stories and the illustrations.
All in all, this is a good book that celebrates all kinds of dads and all kinds of moments that a child may have with their daddy. Definitely a great addition to your bookshelf. Such a great gift idea for Father’s Day, a birthday, or a just because I love you dad type of gift. It’s a book that a father and child will cherish and enjoy reading together. It may even spark interest in a child to create their own poems about dad. I’m sure reading it will create even more daddy and child memories.
