Simba often communicates with me with his dog language. He let’s me know when he needs to go outside by going to the door and standing there. Sometimes he will even put his paws on the door as if to tell me to hurry up and let him out. If he’s hungry or wants a treat he will go to the pantry door and jump up and down. When he’s thirsty and his water bowl is empty he will paw at it. To show me how much he missed me when I return home he will jump up and down and run around the house.

If My Dog Could Talk
If my dog could talk I wonder what he would say? First of all, he’d probably ask me why I won’t share my food with him. Because he hates baths he’d probably tell me he’d prefer not to take one and ask why humans take one all of the time anyway. Maybe he’d even ask why us humans walk on two legs and not four…isn’t that tiring? I’m sure he’d be very inquisitive and probably even a little whiny. What do you think your dog would say if he could talk?
I See Me! has just released their first personalized book for dogs, If My Dog Could Talk. The hubs and I was so excited to receive this book to read to our daughters. I knew they would be absolutely shocked to see a dog on the cover and throughout the book that looked like their very own dog.
About If My Dog Could Talk by I See Me!
Ever wondered what your dog is saying when he gives you “that look”? If My Dog Could Talk is an illustrated, rhyming storybook narrated from the dog’s perspective. Dog lovers are able to customize the dog in the book to actually look like their own pet! There are 12 dog styles and four color options to choose from. The dog’s name and the names of up to four family members are incorporated in the story and artwork. Celebrate a dog adoption or memorialize a lost furry family member by customizing the dedication page, which includes a personal message and photo.
Company President and Co-Founder Maia Haag is the author of this book. She’s a dog lover and wanted to write a book that celebrated the loving bond between dogs and their families. I See Me is also partnering with animal non-profit organizations across the nation, beginning this month, so proceeds of their sales get donated back to them and to support dog adoption and animal rescue.
In addition to this personalized book for dogs, I See Me also offers other personalized children’s books, lunch boxes, coloring books, growth charts, stickers, and more! Follow I See Me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Our Thoughts on If My Dog Could Talk
I didn’t tell the girls about the book at all. When I received the opportunity to personalize the book, I kept it a secret! I personalized the book to include Simba’s name and the name of the girls. I was also able to upload two personal photos which included one of Simba and the girls and one by himself. When choosing how I wanted Simba to look, I unfortunately didn’t see a Schnauzer dog style. I decided to choose a dog that resembled Simba the most and just choose the color white. I was still satisfied with my result even though technically he didn’t quite resemble a Schnauzer. Once I was finished personalizing everything, I was able to preview the book and it looked amazing!
The gift set arrived in about a week or so and I couldn’t wait for the girls to unbox it! I was very pleased with how the book turned out. My girls absolutely loved all of the illustrations and how everyone was included in the story. The rhyming made the story fun and it really seemed like our dog would say a lot of what was mentioned in the book. My oldest daughter was amazed that Simba’s name was on his collar, his dog bowl, and so many other things. She also loved that an actual bandana and food placemat was included just for Simba.
If you’re a dog lover this is a must have! Personalization is all throughout the book and it is so beautifully made. Children and adults would love to receive this as a gift. Watch the girls unbox the gift set and see their reaction! I also read the book out loud to them as well so make sure you watch the entire video to get a feel for the book.

If My Dog Could Talk Gift Set
Simba and the girls are doing a great job of helping you with this promotion. Great fun book giveaway, thank you!
My toddler would love this book! He has an I See Me! book about things that go and has torn the pages, he gets so excited about the trucks and turning to his preferred pages. These books are very well made too, I was impressed. We live in a 3rd story apt and don’t go out much, so our dog is like another kid in my son’s eyes, they do a lot together. Even if I don’t win, I’d buy the book for his birthday as one of the dogs looks like our Boston Terrier.
children would love this…I loved Crispin Cripian by Margaret Wise Brown(when kids were small)
This is one of my Autistic daughters’ favs
