PetPlate
The very first Black-Owned pet business I purchased from was PetPlate. I was so hype to know that I could get fresh-cooked dog food from a Black business. They also now offer kibble that is fresh baked. You can get one or the other or a mix of both fresh baked and fresh-cooked. My dog Simba absolutely loves PetPlate and it’s what he’ll be eating this holiday season.

Ginger’s Naps University Merch
Kassidi shares her experience being a first time dog mom on IG @gingers_naps. She also shares educational content about dogs & racism, hence the name Ginger’s Naps University aka GNU. As a Black dog mom, she noticed that the pet space on social media and the pet industry is predominantly white. So she created a HUGE list of Black pet parents which includes all Black everything from pet parents, Black-owned pet businesses, animal rescues, groomers, trainers, and pets. She also made a Pet POC Directory.
I absolutely love Kassidi’s content and her merch too. Her hoodies are super comfy and warm and you know it’s hoodie season so you should definitely grab one or a t-shirt. Shop HERE.
