Happy National Kids and Pets Day!
“This special day was created in 2005 by Celebrity Family & Pet Lifestyle Expert, mother and pet lover, Colleen Paige. National Kids & Pets Day is dedicated to furthering the magical bond between children and animals and to help bring awareness to the plight of pets in shelters awaiting new homes.” – kidsandpetsday.com
It’s fun to watch a kid grow up with a pet. They have such an incredible and cute bond. Having a pet is fun, but it’s also a lot of work! It can definitely teach a kid about responsibility. If you’re thinking about getting a pet for your kid you should adopt NOT shop! Did you know that a pet store is not a good place to get a pet? Read up on it here. You should also make sure you’re prepared for a new pet. These tips are helpful for new puppy owners.
I love how Simba and the little one interact with each other. They really do act like brother and sister! They run and play, she fusses at him, they hug and make up, she follows him, he follows her, and they even get into things together. They are something else I tell you. Simba and the little one were like this since day one. Pretty much inseparable. At first she just called him “dog” when she was first starting to really talk and now she calls him “Simsa”. She makes sure to tell everyone “MY dog!” and gives him plenty of hugs and love you’s. They are just too cute for words. It always reminds me of when I had my first puppy when I was younger and how he quickly became my best friend. Dogs are such awesome pets!
I had to post this “harlem shake” video of these two again for those who may not have seen it. Aren’t they cute and hilarious? You should see them in action on a regular basis!

They are both adorable! I had Shiner for about a year before I had my first daughter so they grew up together. Now I have my 1 year old baby too. She’s pretty tolerant of both of them and they all get along pretty well.

Such cute pictures. I wish I had a little one of my own, but I snuggle with the ones I see in the neighborhood. Mom always had pets growing up, and I’m pretty sure she always will!
Love and licks,
