My husband and I received a metal patio furniture set for FREE from his Papa and the patio furniture needed a serious makeover. It had already been repainted once and the paint was chipping off of it which made it look pretty blah. This is not the outdoor patio set that we had in mind of getting for the backyard, but since it was FREE we decided to use it for the time being.

Do you have some outdoor patio furniture that could use a makeover? Do you want to know how to spray paint metal outdoor furniture? Don’t worry it’s SO easy and takes no time at all. Here are the five simple steps that my husband did.
Materials needed: Outdoor anti-rust spray paint, sand paper, a cloth, and a water hose
- Sand the patio furniture
We used a sanding sponge and sand paper. Make sure that it says it can be used for metal.
- Spray off the paint debris with a water hose
- Wipe down the patio furniture with a cloth
- Spray paint the patio furniture
We used the brand Valspar
- Let it dry before use
